Recovery 1 is a Resource Recovery, Recycling & Research Facility Dedicated to Developing Sustainable Waste Management Systems
welcome

Welcome to Recovery 1, Inc.

Recovery 1 started operations in 1993 to manufacture wood boiler fuel by extracting wood fiber out of Construction, Demolition & Land-clearing debris, Recovery 1, Inc.(CDL).  We soon found ourselves developing new equipment and processes to convert the non-wood residuals typically included in this waste stream into materials that have value in the marketplace.   Co-mingled debris processing became our focus and just as it was becoming our reality, the Green Building Industry began demanding that contractor’s participate in jobsite recycling.

The eco-friendly processes developed by Recovery 1 have enabled contractors to achieve their waste recycling goals.  Detailed monthly reports are generated to aid contractors with their recycling documentation requirements.

Between 1993 and June 2006, Recovery 1 processed in excess of 1,070,500-tons, (5,352,500-yd3) of co-mingled CDL while maintaining an overall recycling rate of 98%.  We have become obsessed with the concept that:

“Waste is a resource out of place.”

Thank you for taking the time to tour our website and become familiar with our company, products and services.  I hope that you will be inspired to join us in our efforts to Reduce, Reuse & Recycle.

Sincerely,

Terry Gillis
